Narwhal: The Unknown Whale

The Narwhal whale is almost unknown to the lay person. Who would believe anyone who says, “hey there’s a whale that has the same horn a unicorn has“. I know when I first saw these whales on tv, I was blown away by how fake and almost fantastic they looked. Just imagine a pod of these whale in the ocean “sword fighting”.

So when my wife and I went around the neighborhood to supervise trick o treating on Halloween, she constantly got the “what are you?” question. And of course the kids didn’t know what a Narwhal was. She had to educated a few kids quickly.

As for the adults and the party that this image represents, we all had a blast trying to maneuver around the helical tusk (the unicorn thing). Oh what fun to make a mask!
